I did a three day business trip to Canyonlands National Park last week. Got to spend half a day at Arches as well (photos to come). I have to agree that the scenery is much better.

We went on a month long road trip last year that ended up being mostly in southern Utah. Arches and Canyonland were very cool, I think my favorite park was Bryce Canyon though

How's your sense of smell and taste?

Fine, though I didn't notice losing either when I had COVID in 2021. I have some tests from last year, I was planning on using one later. No respiratory symptoms, though. A friend here thinks it could be Dengue fever. If I don't get sicker, I'm going to wait it out.

Nope. My B levels are fine. She thinks the tannins in coffee and tea may be making it hard for me to absorb some of the other letters.

Spent the afternoon sewing and ironing and sewing some more. Now I need to give my back a rest.

We're having a rabies outbreak with a strain that is normally seen in the south east US. The CDC is here along with the USDA working the state officials. They think it's being spread by raccoons and are dispersing live traps in a 3 square mile radius of the initial detection site. 10 people have been exposed already and are receiving vaccinations.

When we were walking our dogs yesterday (off leash) one bolted down into a creek area and began frantically rolling on a dead skunk carcass. She went for her rabies vaccination this morning.

I remember dad having to get the series of rabies shots after working on what turned out to be a rabid bull.

Hope the dogs are okay.  I can't even imagine the aroma of a dead skunk.  UGH

Tried a tomato juice shampoo, it only half ass worked. I think by the end of the day she had 3 baths.

Even the car smelled from the ride home, dog towels instantly bagged and tossed.
