What's everyone up to right now?

On the positive side, I completed a first draft of a short story for a writers' group meetup later this week.  My muse ambushed me on the way to a coffee shop, after a week of "WTF am I going to write about?"

I've a couple of wood working projects in queue for my eldest son who is in the USAF. I'm poking around looking at designs. I'm hoping your muse comes by and gives me an idea or two.

Well, you could try putting on the coffee pot - apparently muses like caffeine - but I'd advise waiting till morning.

Ten inches of snow and counting. The dog is having a grand time jumping around in it.

Ours is suppose to start soon. Our local weather geeks have narrowed it down to between 2 and 12 inches.

We are having a weird winter.  December was temps in from the 30s to near 70.  There were a few days of rain.  (I don't have to shovel rain so I don't mind that so much.)

Now we are rolling along in January and we have rain and lightning and thunder this morning.  There's a chance of snow next week.  All that means is there's already no milk, eggs, or bread in the stores.

I don't mind if we get snow because it's nothing like what I grew up with in Iowa...but, January and February are notorious for throwing a couple ice storms at us that really gum up the works.

Working on a quilt for The Bail's college roommate. Her taste is quite different than Bail's so it has taken me a while to find a fabric I thought she might like. Bail came over yesterday and knew immediately that I had chosen this for Pres. Also listening to an audiobook about the Tudor times in history.

Next project is going to be a St. Patrick's Day/Irish themed quilt for my oldest, dearest friend and one of my favorite people of Irish descent.

Still sick, but I’ve at least been well enough to attach the two patches to my new Travis jacket.



Then again, how much effort is necessary to apply E6000 glue to a patch and put in the right place?
