Funny or disturbing, it's to early to tell. Have you checked out these folks?

Update - TCAP is a great resource but I am not sure they do the pre and post-op stuff that I would prefer.  Dr. A called yesterday to say that Harl's platelet count is low...too low for him to want to do surgery on her.  I will be taking her back for a check in two weeks.  The hope is that it's just because she is at the end of a heat cycle and not one of the more serious reasons that her platelet count is low.

One of our kids was in a car accident in my car last September, the claim (minus deductible) was paid, and as the accident was 100% the other driver's fault (illegal left turn against the signal), I've been expecting a payout for the deductible since.

It went to arbitration where it was decided to be handled as a no-fault accident. So now I have to sue the other driver to be made whole.

Arbitration is a fucking joke. No sworn statements were taken, no witnesses interviewed. It's almost as if arbitration is a scam intended to shift liability to the parties not represented.

Car insurance in general has become as big a joke as medical insurance.

It used to be that your coverage cost was somewhat based on how many miles you put on your car in a year, which makes sense because the more you are on the road the more likely you are to be involved in an accident.

As soon as the COVID lockdowns hit and work from home became a thing they stopped that.  So now that I am not driving 60 miles a day and more like 60 miles a month we are paying more.

Last wreck I was in a young girl side-swiped me.  The insurance - we both had the same company - determined it was a mutual thing and no one got paid for any repairs.

One of my wife’s employees has a side hustle in food delivery. About a month ago, he was rear-ended while stopped at a red light.  His private insurance company determined he was 30% at fault.

That's nice.  Partially at fault because he obeyed the traffic laws.  smh

Some years back I was rear-ended while stopped in traffic.  The guy who hit me pushed me into the van in front of me.  His insurance paid for the back of my car to be repaired but I had to pay for the front...which I wouldn't have hit if he wouldn't have slammed into me.
