Went across the street to a house where a guy lived since '68, when it was new, What a time capsule! Right down to the original aluminum frame single pane windows, vertical blinds (got to be original), gold anodized closet doors, etc. The realty is asking $860k.

Listening to a book and finishing another quilt. Older daughter mentioned that I hadn't made her St. Pat's placemats...she doesn't know she's getting a St. Pat's quilt.

They are starting the move to a new place this weekend so it's a combination housewarming and holiday gift.

Just voted in my town election. Did not select the guy who wanted to be a school committee member and a library trustee whose platform is to ban books, ban sex education in the high school, ban woke (whatever that means), ban books and teaching about slavery and in particular the contribution to slavery by Eli Whitney, whose birthplace is about 2 miles from my place.

The kook has lived here for 3 years. This is his third campaign.

Looking at recipes for brisket and cabbage. You can't trust what you read. The first recipe just said potatoes, but not what kind. The second said to cook on high in a slow cooker for 7 hours. A surefire recipe for disaster.
