What's everyone up to right now?

Glad it missed you.

Tomorrow I get to go back to the days of no Internet and no power.

We are having our 40+ year-old HVAC system replaced as well as the breaker box that is so out of code that it's ridiculous. I may have to go hang out at the library or something. I could entertain myself for a day without Internet but without power, I can't even sew. It's also supposed to be overcast and rainy tomorrow so may not even have enough light to read.

I'm glad you're safe from the weather.

Got a cortisone shot in my right knee joint earlier today. Sonnabitch, that hurt! Hopefully it does some good.

I had to get one of those in my elbow and other at the base of my thumb, and an epidural in my spine. Next up is my right hip, knee, and ankle.

Yeah they hurt pretty bad, no other injection I've had has been remotely close. The epidural was cake.

For whatever it's worth, they've held up pretty well. I hope you also get good results. Fingers crossed.

They do stem cell treatments here that haven't yet been approved in the USA, I'm going to look into that.

Me too. Heard some noise about this one being some kind of EF5 record.

Thanks! The pain lasted only a minute or so, but was pretty damned intense, like a nerve had been hit. I've had toes numbed by cortisone shots, three or so years ago. They still have diminished sensation, which I'm really happy about. The podiatrist numbed them somehow and I didn't feel the needle. Thinking about it, I recall having felt the needle when the pain meds were injected. Can't win! One cortisone shot in my left elbow, a few decades ago. I'm wanting to avoid knee replacement, but the osteo doc pointed out how thin the joint gaps are.  Dodgy I'd like for a grease zerk fitting to be installed.  Hehe

I saw a news clip about some of the damage. Wood construction just doesn't stand a chance.

Do you have Synvisc injections?

I guess we got lucky, no reported deaths in NE or IA...... so far. Things can be replaced.
