Puzzling over what the next endoscopy may cost me out of pocket.
Before the last one I was charged $1000.00 by the facilty (though it was really $1007 and some change) and $500.00 by the doctor.
Then I got a bill for about 90 bucks from the anesthesiologist.
Then I got a refund for about $410.00 from the facility...in the form of a check that took over a month to arrive.
Then I got a bill for about $13.00 from the doctor.
Today I got a notice that the facility is refunding about $57.00 to my credit card.
At this point, I have no idea what the next one will cost.
That's some interesting bookkeeping....I sure can't do my job that way.

Deboning and freezing a couple of packs of chicken thighs. It's not hard, but it's not exactly easy, either. At 15 minutes a package, I think it's more work than it's worth.

Well, ran a load of laundry last night. It’s still fucking going. I knew their explanation made zero sense.
If the dryer is more than 10 years old it's probably cheaper in the long run to buy a new one.

Bought an antique French Country buffet. A neighbor helped unload it, it's really heavy, solid oak. I got it at the local Habitat ReStore for $300. It looks like this one, but needs a bit of refinishing. Well worth it, as the wood to build one is way more money Not the same kind of carving, but that's immaterial. This one is currently at a $6350 bid.

Wondering how B73 and Sliver Silver are fairing with Helene.
Do we have any other actives in the area?

Hurricanes seem to have been fairly mild this year. IIRC, it's because the dust that helps heat gain necessary for hurricane formation is reduced due to increased rainfall/humidity in Africa. Helene has been purported to be the biggest hurricane of the season. I guess we'll see.

Brian should be okay. He's near the coast of NC and while they will get weather it won't be anything like what Florida is going to get.
Seas have been rough off the coast of NC, but further out on the Outer Banks. Three houses in Rodanthe have washed out to sea in the last week with more to come.

Covid and flu shot on Wednesday, a little sore but not bad. RSV planned for week 2 in October.

I think the two shots (along with my other health issues) are why I was not able to travel at the first of the month. I felt a little yucky for a couple days but then got really shaky and weak and that lasted a while. I didn't feel it was safe to drive. I need to look back on my calendar to see when I got the RSV shot last year.
