I'm fortunate that one of my sons will do what is needed around here. I despise gardening. I'll have to hire someone after he moves out.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I’m fortunate in having a wife who’s absolutely bonkers for gardening. The only time I get involved in that nonsense is if there’s heavy work to be done - pulling stumps, mending her greenhouse, and so on.

She’s equally fortunate in having a husband who doesn’t mind housework in the least. Growing up with six siblings, household chores are second nature to me.

I stopped purchasing plants of any kind a couple years ago. It didn't seem fair to bring them here to die. Even the hardiest plant can't survive my inept attempts at keeping it alive.
