I keep seeing sardines in lemon juice. I don't know whether to be intrigued or revolted.

What's everyone up to right now?

Interesting thing at the plasma center yesterday. Apparently there's a saline shortage, so they have you drink a small Gatorade before you leave. I suspect that isn't super effective as a replacement, so I grabbed some enhanced beverage mix and sports drinks from Walmart and Aldi to bring with me when I go.

Ordered a small scale for coffee. I don't need the timer, so this will suffice. I have a kitchen scale, but at 9"x7" it's over twice the size of the one that I ordered, making it awkward to store and pull out. Plus since it's through Walmart, I've got 90 days to return it.
I was thinking of going for a walk earlier. It was gray outside, but the park across the way was inviting.
It's snowing now and I'm not going anywhere.
I have several quilts in the works but have been a bit slack lately. I sewed several pieces together today but stopped before my back started to bother me so I can maybe do more tomorrow. No rush on the current projects as one is for graduation this summer and three others for Christmas.
Then I made my way to the couch and Blue decided he needed his ears and jaw rubbed for a while. In his old age he is getting a bit pushy with demanding petting...it's just important to know when to stop to avoid bloodshed. He has also started sleeping near me at night. For a cat that spent years as a near-hermit, this mellowing is kind of an interesting change. Started listening to a book I have listened to before. I have found that a second run through some time after the first allows me to pick up on more detail.
Doing my best to bankrupt Walmart. I ordered a 20-pound bag of rice that they carry at their store. Usually they just make an anonymous delivery from one of their stores. They're shipping it by Fedex from Illinois.
Watching football and looking at nonstick skillets. I've got two, but I'm thinking of acquiring another so they don't need to be washed as frequently.

Unboxing a 10" stainless steel skillet that I bought over the holidays. The finish is about what you'd expect for a $30 pan, but it's got a flared rim and for such a small skillet, it's surprisingly deep. Walmart has a 12" hammer-finish Granitestone skillet for $26. Granitestone stuff is generally crap, but it looks like it's rather deep, so it would be a little more versatile than others that I've looked at. It's a gamble, but not a big one given the price. Plus it's got Walmart's 90-day return policy on it. I'm just waiting to order so that it isn't delivered on a day that I'm not home.
