Last night, my computer started doing this:



It has never done this before, but all it took to stop it was restarting it. About the only thing I was doing on it that I hadn’t done a hundred times before was listening to Van Der Graaf’s “The Speepwalkers.”



And while looking for information on a coincidental, but completely different crash on Dad’s computer (most likely caused by a bug in the Windows 11 Upgrade), Dad found an article about the Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation fiasco, and decided Van Der Graaf Generator must have been doing something similar to my laptop. Even though it was a hardware issue in that case, hinging on a 5400 RPM hard disc drive when my laptop uses a SSD. I just played the 10 1/2 minute track in full, and nothing happened.

Setting up a sous vide bath. I picked up some nice, thick-cut pork chops at Whole Foods, and it's a few hours before the library opens, so I've got time.

I spent the last few days of the week wrestling high temperatures and ten acres of muddy plastic film covered in methyl bromide under a low lying cloud of teargas. Now it's fucking with me about some late frosts. Most of the babies are still dormant, so no worries.

Christ on a cracker. They assigned me a new, CADI case manager two months ago. I met with her a few weeks back to discuss services and such. Today I received a letter informing me that they've assigned me yet another, different case manager.

Morning coffee and shopping matters. I need some square plates. Walmart has inexpensive ones, but then my plates will be a bunch of mismatched plate styles. They have the kind of plate like the one I have, but I'd have to spend $70 on a whole dinner set to get them. There's an Ebay seller who has three plates for $30, but they look rather beat up. *sigh*

There's also some Corelle plates that are nice, but they're not my favorite. But they have the benefit of being Corelle, so they'd be durable.
