Settling into a hotel room in Alabama. Drove through rain most of the day...some of it pretty heavy but here for the night.

My laptop crashed. Dad had to deal with someone at Dell to try and fix it. Apparently, the hard drive does not like the version of Windows 11 we installed on it for whatever reason. Apparently, The only thing to do is to reinstall the right version of Windows 11. This will erase a lot of data. Fortunately, I had an SD card handy to copy everything that I don’t want erased. I think I got everything. I hope I got everything.

I watched a video comparing brands of glass, resealable food storage containers. Now I want them. The power of suggestion is the devil.

Settled into the hotel in SC. At least I am here a few days so I don't have to schlep this stuff in and out for a while

Working on reconfiguring my laptop after we had to reinstall Windows (specifically a version of Windows 1a that wasn’t Pro.)

Recovering from a 4-day stay in the hospital. I thought I was suffering a stroke, but I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, a viral infection that I knew nothing about until now. I'm presently on a regimen of antiviral and antibiotic drugs. The episode has left me physically exhausted and I'm taking frequent naps. It will take about five or six months for me to fully recover. Thank goodness my houseboy and housekeeper are taking care of things while I recuperate.

Yes, get well soon!
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
I hope you get better. I had Bell's palsy once. For some it resolves itself, for some it doesn't. Either way, I hope your palsy is mild and goes away.
