Re-vacuumed the floor in some areas and wiped dust off a bunch of stuff after the contractors left. They're done sanding, and painting is next, after the cabinets are installed. Noisy, not so much dusty. The dogs are going bonkers, as expected. I think that the dachshund/beagle mix would really be OK through it all, if it weren't that asshole Chihuahua. It has gone from cowering in its kennel to acting like the alpha bitch. The wife brings it to heel...
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Watching football and drinking tea. It's been chilly in my apartment the past week. I don't feel like doing stuff when I'm cold.

Done with this week's work stuff so moved onto grooming one of the dogs. Then cleaned my car windows and did some reorganizing in there as dogs have been taking the place of the caddy that normally holds my CDs and other misc. travel stuff. Added some fluids to the car and checked air pressure. Couple quick errands on the schedule for tomorrow and also packing, and maybe two more grooming sessions. Plan to hit the road early Monday morning.

Caught a flight early this morning to Mexico City, spent the afternoon touring the Templo Mayor museum and archaeological site that once house the main temple complex in Tenochtitlan before the conquest and it's subsequent destruction.

Finally found a new place. We ran down the clock something fierce, only had 21 more days. Still a little three bedroom...my brood just loves getting stuffed into closets. OTOH, it's on the lake. The housing situation out here is absurd.

Got my packing started. Somehow when I travel, I am convinced I need about four times the amount of clothing I would need if I stayed home. smh
Oh well, as the week rolls along I will keep moving clean stuff into one suitcase and will come home with one full of stuff that just needs to go back on hangers and one that needs to be put in the laundry.

Vacuum-sealing some fresh salmon. I'll have to pick out the package in person next time. Of the two fillets in the pack, one is only 5 ounces.

Trying to figure out what I can eat the week preceding my colonoscopy. You're not supposed to eat anything with seeds. Technically, that rules out a lot of common vegetables like green beans, peas, broccoli, and cauliflower.
It's going to be a long week.

Have most everything packed other than some jeans that are currently in the dryer. They'll be ready soon. Some stuff in the car already. In the morning I will finish gathering toiletries and load my laptop up and get a cooler ready and then hitting the road.
Groomed the other two dogs today so everyone has their summer fade for the upcoming heat.
Looks like a lot of my drive will be in the rain. Not real happy about that. Plan is to stop for the night in Alabama and get a good night's sleep, hopefully. Then up Tuesday morning and on to South Carolina.

Hunting up my hoisin sauce. I found some Lee Kum Kee brand. I've got Kikkoman somewhere, but this will have to do.
