Not sleeping. If I fell asleep right now, I would get an hour and 55 minutes of sleep before I have to get up to catch a flight.

My sister is in Lithuania right now headed to where my great-grandfather was buried in 1940. There's a little village ten minutes from there who's name is pronounced very very close to how my is surname is pronounced (or, was in the early 20th century). The village is literally just up the road from where he was born, died and buried and I wonder if there is some connection. I doubt it but it's interesting, to me anyways.
Making coffee. What with summer temperatures, I haven't been drinking coffee of a morning. It's in the 50s F outside. The two thermometers in here say 75 F. So it's a little chilly. All the windows are open, which helps explain it. But it will warm up again soon enough, so I'll just leave them open.
I ordered two standalone thermometers, one for my desk and one for the bedroom. The combination clock and thermometers that I have don't seem particularly accurate or convenient. This morning the two in here seem to be reading correctly. It makes me think that maybe I didn't need to spend that $10. Oh well. It's done now. ![]()
The "Where's My Refund?" system for Minnesota says that my state tax return has been processed and is in the stage where they're preparing my refund. That's a relief. I received two CRPs from my building management, because one had a typo on it, so I wasn't sure that I was filing the right one. I asked in the office, but they didn't know any better than I did.

Stuck in Dallas waiting for a replacement aircraft. First they didn't have a flight crew, then a problem with a tire. In the process of fixing that they found a problem with the brakes.
Now we have a (supposedly) working aircraft but an incomplete crew. They're still propping up the fiction that we'll be departing in 38 minutes.
They assure me we'll be boarding soon. I don't believe them.

I was only planning on being here long enough to switch aircraft or I'd have taken you up on it. We're now waiting for our third aircraft. The second one also needed a wheel repair. Very frustrating but I certainly want a plane that isn't wonky.
