What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Grrr. My Walmart payments are screwed up to where if I try to add stuff to a pending delivery, it tries to charge everything to my credit card rather than EBT. It's very annoying. After that happened with my last order, which I agreed to because I was thinking it was just a display error, and not actually what the system was going to do, afterward my options to cancel the order were no longer available, leaving me in a crap situation.

I need to reinstall Windows. It's nothing critical that I can't live with, but as more and more things start falling off the wagon, the more I should just bite the bullet and reinstall. File dialogs opened by Firefox have a tendency to occasionally hang, requiring me to kill Firefox. That in itself wouldn't be bad except for the fact that because Firefox profiles are corrupted, I have to restart Windows each time in order to have Firefox properly load my bookmarks and history. I refreshed Firefox but I've yet to see if that cured the corruption. I have no reason to think that it would have done so. The only benefit was a reduction in the frequency of Firefox memory demands running away occasionally.

Picking out a pasta sauce for my ravioli. I've got three servings of Cub's generic ravioli, but I've since been finding better pasta at a similar price. So it may be a while before I get to those Cub offerings. And I've got a serving of Ragu traditional sauce that I just may throw out because it's so underwhelming that there are always better choices. Thankfully, the whole jar was only $2.50, so no big loss.

Debating whether to go on a burger binge or a pasta binge. I've got the pasta so I don't need to buy anything. I did spend $3 on burger buns. I suppose I can grab some fresh ground beef and make from fresh. I might even have some ground beef in the freezer. I really need to focus on eating what I've already got on hand. I ordered a shaker of seasoning for dipping bread in olive oil, but I've yet to buy a good-quality oil. Probably another waste of money. Maybe I'll just hold onto the seasoning until another day.

Making a drawing for an armoire I want. Prices for the style I want (Arts and Crafts) are astronomical.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I found four chicken burgers and a pound of ground beef in the freezer. The buns are too good for the chicken burgers, but maybe I can find some more ground beef.

Given the score in the Mets / Twins game, I have to surmise the death of the New York Mets has been greatly exaggerated.

More baseball. The Twins rounded the Mets' consecutive loss record to an even dozen.

I'm about $100 in the red for May. June should bring back most of that. Hopefully, come end of July, I'll get $700 in property taxes back, though I've yet to file. Even without that, I've got $1600 in the bank, so I'm okay.

Just got in from dropping a package off at Fedex. Oven is preheating for pizza. I went over my spending for the month earlier and identified a trouble spot in Cub Foods' purchases. I grabbed my pizza at Cub, but because I was conscious of how shopping their contributes to overspending, I stuck close to what I went in there to buy. So instead of $15 or $20, my total was $7.50.
