The Twins game is all over the place. Down a run, then up a run, then the Cardinals had a bases-clearing double, then Clemens tied the score with a homer with two on.

In the run-up to my Door County vacation in two weeks, I’ve been getting a few things ready. One thing I’ve been trying to rectify: getting some extra charging cables, specifically, Lightning-to-usb-C. It’s partly inspired by that and my own issues with the charging cable in my room. I’ve found that the one in my room works a lot less well than the one I keep in my basement.

So, Dad ordered two of these from Amazon Prime.

I tried to test them, but they failed out of the starting gate. The app I use to test how fast charging cables are tests how long it takes the battery to go up 5%. And it can’t be closed without interrupting the test. Meanwhile, these cables only seem to actually charge when I’m not on my iPad.

Enjoying a "Simpler Times" lager at TJ's while I wait for the bus

Five pounds of meat in my cart and the #7 bus doesn't show up. Over the years I've had several dozen #7 buses not show up. That is the worst route for it.

My shopping has been hit 'n' miss today. Went to TJ's for Romano cheese, which I later learned was out of stock because there was a large recall on Romano cheese. I went to Target planning to get some Stravecchio cheese, only to forget. I went to Aldi and Target to get plain sparkling water and liquid water enhancer. Target didn't have the flavor enahancer and I forgot to look at Aldi. I went to a different Aldi to get Brats and tilapia but they were out of the large bags of tilapia. I'm going back to the first Aldi for tilapia if nothing else.

Both Aldi stores were out of the 2# bag of tilapia. Ten minutes before the bus came a 25-30 mph wind blew in. A few minutes before the bus the rain started. I'm glad I decided against a fresh 14" pizza.

I'm experimenting with plain sparkling water and liquid flavor enhancer. Target had Polar Seltzer in cans and Aldi had water enhancer cheap. It tastes like black cherry soda pop.

Pulling an all-nighter. I didn't fall asleep until 2 am this morning, so my cycle is a bit mussed. Nothing I have to get done tomorrow, so I might as well.
