On my break. I just ate a bloody delicious Croissant one of my colleagues went out and bought for me (I said I didn't want anything, I swear!) and wouldn't take any money for. I feel all spoiled now. It's nice. We have a great team here. :-)
Just submitted my first round of professionally edited work back to my publisher, so for now... my work is done. I might try getting into my next novel, but for right now, I can finally check out the FTL: Advanced Edition that's been sitting on my laptop for days now.

The captain's mod was my go to distraction game until the advanced version came out, which I'm totally loving. You'd think at least a few of the new features would screw with the balance, but so far they all seem to incorporate really well; I'm a fan of using the Mantis ship and "abducting" enemy crew members from larger crewed ships using the mind control and teleport bays in conjunction, so I can pick them off one by one. One thing though: it does make it noticeably harder, since the enemies get all the new toys too. Which I guess is kinda the point of the game.
