Too late but here's the idea

Losty is my kind of girl, loves the spicy food.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.
Just started watching Gravity on HBO. I'm a huge Sandra Bullock fan, but not-quite-sure about this one.

Watched "The Experiment". Unrealistic. Over-rated.

Complete with tally sticks, wind marker, 3 dice, 4 extra blank tiles, 4 tile rack and all the tiles required to play the game! One player mahjong?.... is that the solitare version famous in every computer? This mahjong I linked to is different. It's a 4 player game (the game can have bots, so we can have two real people playing) somewhat similar to poker, where you are required to make 3-tile sequences, either chows (actual sequences, like 1, 2 and 3 of bambu) or pongs (3 of a kind - a pong of a terminal [1 or 9] gives you double points - these are called majors, all other numbers are minors), or kongs (4 of a kind). Honours (winds and dragons) count as extra (they're majors too) and you can only make pongs or kongs with them. The goal is to make 4 of these sequences and a pair. The pair is mandatory. The other 4 sequences can be either chows, pongs or kongs. You start with 13 tiles. At each round, you get a new tile from the wall and discard what you don't want to keep in your hand. If the person on your right can make a chow out of the tile you discard, then he can pick it up and declare an open chow. He must then discard one tile. If the tile you discard is useful to make a pong or kong by anyone around the table, then that person can make an open pong and discard one tile. Open pongs and kongs and chows are the ones where you use tiles that someone discards. Closed pongs and kongs and chows are the ones you keep in your hand and no one knows about, you get all the tiles for these from the wall. Winning the game is called making a Mahjong, or simply Mahjong. That's the basics... there much more, like fans (special sequences that cause your final score to double, it doubles once for each fan - a good game has about 3 fans), winds (each player has his wind and a pong of own wind counts as a fan; there is also the prevailing wind and a pong of the prevailing wind also counts as a fan), the house is always the East wind. If the house gets Mahjong, then it remains the house and everyone pays double. If the house loses then the East wind (and the house) goes to the player on the right. Once the house goes full circle, the prevailing wind changes (starts with East, then South, West and North). A full game goes through the 4 winds and usually lasts about 2 to 4 hours. There are many variants of the rules, differing mostly on what sort of sequences one can make and how to count points. xmj uses the so-called classical mahjong rules. These are not the rules used in tournaments. And yes, just like with poker, some people do play this for money, but xmj is free... it's actually open-source and we play for points and bragging rights! ![]() Still interested? ![]() RE: What's everyone up to right now?
