What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Ordering frames for art fairs in August.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

I'm loving all this appreciation of rain!!

My kids have said for years that when you look up rain in Webster's, my picture should be there.

AND, my daughter is 7 months pregnant with my first grand baby, a little girl. As if that isn't the best gift ever, they are naming her Lilly Rain.

Alright, I could go on about the rain, but I will shut-up now.

Living in a high desert gave me appreciation for rain. Living in the Willamette Valley made me hate it! Big Grin

You should come to Colorado. We get lots of thunder. Big Grin

Of course, that also means lightning, hail, tornadoes... Fortunately, were close enough to the mountains that large hail and tornadoes are a significantly reduced threat. The poor people in Weld County have been getting pummeled this year. Undecided

Just got back from an evening at the club. Rather quiet for the most part, a few couples keeping to themselves along with the occasional friend and mainly groups of people who clearly know each other well. Nice for them, but disheartening for a well-meaning outsider. Oh, and watching Germany up to their old tricks. Then just as I was considering coming home it livened up with one hell of a bang that made the whole visit for me.

Fun, for a while, but still not the companionship my heart longs for.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Probably. It might also be I'm looking for the wrong thing.

I think we've all been there at one time or another, Stimbo.

Drinking coffee and finishing up the book Zealot, which is supposedly about the historical aspects of the Jesus story. Unfortunately, it's written by a believer, so it comes preloaded with apologetic assumptions, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. And it was rather short, which was a welcome surprise, as I haven't been overly diligent in spending time getting it read.
