If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
What's everyone up to right now?

Just got back from an evening at the club. Rather quiet for the most part, a few couples keeping to themselves along with the occasional friend and mainly groups of people who clearly know each other well. Nice for them, but disheartening for a well-meaning outsider. Oh, and watching Germany up to their old tricks. Then just as I was considering coming home it livened up with one hell of a bang that made the whole visit for me.
Fun, for a while, but still not the companionship my heart longs for.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Maybe you're looking in the wrong place, eh Stimbo?
Probably. It might also be I'm looking for the wrong thing.

I think we've all been there at one time or another, Stimbo.

Drinking coffee and finishing up the book Zealot, which is supposedly about the historical aspects of the Jesus story. Unfortunately, it's written by a believer, so it comes preloaded with apologetic assumptions, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. And it was rather short, which was a welcome surprise, as I haven't been overly diligent in spending time getting it read.
