Not long got back from my first driving lesson. The first hour was all about getting to know Paul, the instructor, and the whole basic protocol for setting up the car. Then the next hour was me driving us around, doing basic manoeuvres like starting and stopping, cornering, reversing etc. After the initial nerves of being responsible for a vehicle on a public road, albeit a quiet residential one, I had a blast controlling the animal. Can't wait until next Thursday for lesson two; though I expect I'll have forgotten everything by then.

Hmm I didn't know cats could get ringworm. On humans it's like raised red circle on the skin. Very contagious (I think)

Yes, cats can get ringworm, but young cats (like kitten-aged) are most susceptible to it. I'm leaning toward some kind of mite, to be honest, but partially because it's the easier test to do with almost immediate results; if you test for ringworm you have to basically grow a culture which takes a minimum of two weeks to even get a result. My cat's skin is also interestingly colored so it's hard to tell if it's red or not (some of his skin is pinkish, some is blue-blackish) and whatever is going on isn't spreading in rings... Also, if it were ringworm I would have expected my other cat to have gotten it much sooner than he seems to be exhibiting symptoms - which he has started to.

Damned expensive animals. Gotta make a vet appointment...

I keep forgetting that there are fully developed countries in the world where people don't have to drive a car. Makes me sad about the public transportation infrastructure in Oregon.

When I was having driving lessons I finished every one-hour lesson sweating like a pig from my back... such were the nerves... every.single.time.
My instructor didn't help much... whenever he noticed that I didn't check one of the sides in an intersection, he'd bang on the door and it felt like some car had banged there!! O.o

Also, it's like riding a bike... you'll remember!

Happy it is Friday. It has been a horrible, horrible week. I don't understand people anymore.

This is exactly how I feel. This is probably the worst week I've had since July. Actually I think this is worse than then. The only difference being that I have emotional support now. Exhausted. I'm done with this week.
