Making some biscuits for biscuits and gravy, and awaiting news on my new foster pup. Poor guy has spent his entire life chained up in a 90 year old woman's backyard. She bought him as a puppy for her great gransdson, who quickly got tired of his new toy, and never plays with him. He's at the vet getting a bath and some heartworm meds.

Just got a new screen for my I phone cause I smashed the last one. $140.
Then I went to the post office to pay some bills and the guy next door is fixing the bloody things for $90. Anyway, I also just bought a new phone case that should stop it from smashing so easy. This is what it says inside. we always love Mind Of Zest, please Stay with me forever we're helpful with you. How delightful. :-)
Normally I would never do this, but I am going to compromise my forum integrity and do a little advertising. I decided to do it in the 'What are you up to" thread because somehow that makes it a little better in my head.
This Wednesday, I was doing a transport for a dog with Middle Tennessee Golden Retriever Rescue. It included a day's stay at my house, as his foster wouldn't be ready until today. This was one of the most special dogs I have EVER encountered. His name is Buddy, and he's had a rough go of it. We found him stray, and he had a really badly broken leg. Compound fracture, probably happened six months ago. The thing was useless, had to be amputated on Tuesday. I picked him up next day, and let me tell you how much this dog had an effect on me! I almost cried when he was blocking the door so I wouldn't leave him at his foster's, yet another strange place. In the last two weeks, he's been neutered and had the leg amputated, (that mean vet keeps taking parts!) and been tested and found heartworm positive. He's got a long road ahead, and it's expensive, but I swear if he doesn't get adopted within a couple of months, I'm going to do it. What a wonderful, beautiful dog. Here's the link to his fundraising page, if you're interested. (I got permission before posting this link, btw)

I'm annoyed with my logic puzzle book: I got the right answer to the puzzle but it wasn't the answer in the answer key BUT IT'S RIGHT!!!!!
So there's a stay at home dad whose taking care of four families of kids. Fam 1 has the most kids, fam 2 has fewer than fam1, fam 3 has fewer than fam2 and fam 4 has fewer than fam 3. Altogether there are fewer than 18 kids and if you multiply them all together you get 120. How many kids were there in each family and how many kids were there total? I'm annoyed that they didn't account for this puzzle having two answers.

There are lots of answers: 8, 5, 3, 1 works too.
ETA: maybe not lots, but more than two... ETA again: I think there are just three.
