To be fair, someone at work did actually question if I was "old enough" to work long shifts, and I felt so flattered

In a way that's a good thing, to know how frightening I am.  In another way it's not so good because now I have no one to talk to.  I guess I'll just have to talk to the Voices, again...

Yesterday I survived the fourth and final day of my epic dumpster-filling adventure, opening up a 35-foot run of old wall and extracting all the old wood chip insulation. So today I took the day off -- except for mitigating some of the dust caused by the demolition. Swept the stairs, washed a couple of floors, and changed the bedding in my room so that I have a nice place to crash at the end of the day. Also sat on the front steps in the evening and tootled melodiously on my clarinet for about an hour, going over some tricky bits in preparation for this week's band rehearsal . |
