I’m watching my heathens play Mario Matt, while ham and bean soup simmers...with the smell of fresh cornbread wafting through the house.

Not so much...I felt more trapped and my eyes are stuck from rolling back into my spleen on multiple occasions.   Doh 

Ham and beans sounds awesome but maybe I will wait till fall.  It's so damn hot here that the only thing that sounds appetizing would be to crunch on ice.

This week in the Deep Hurting Project will be Blake Edwards’ last attempt at trying to keep the Pink Panther franchise alive long after Peter Sellers (pretty much the whole reason the original film became an actual live-action franchise) died.

Also, my Dad has been selected for jury duty, and I introduced him to the Citizen’s Rule Bookin the hopes that he’ll make himself look like a lunatic no sane lawyer would put on a jury. I actually once did the same with a fiction writing tutor and I think it kept him out of the jury pool. He’s trying for a medical deferral, though.

About to bake a pineapple upside down cake for my son, he is home visiting this week from Job Corps.

Gonna get some rub on some ribs and marinate some chicken. None of which we were having tonight.
