What's everyone up to right now?

But I think I'm sadder about it then her anyway.
Which I predicted because I'm a pathetic creature.
And now I shall probably go write a masterpiece on the piano.

Is this the same girl you were just talking about saying you couldn't stop thinking about her? Or is this someone else I'm thinking of...?

Still can't stop thinking about her.
Is why I had to end it.
She was too rough, a bit mean and selfish and I am too doormat.
I always make the mistake of thinking they'll calm down after a little while.
Not this time.

Had a brief virus scare, did my usual procedure, and it hasn't recurred.

This week in the Deep Hurting Project is Son of the Mask.

It's hard for me to understand because I've always been more dominant in relationships. Though, there is a difference between dominance and treating people like a doormat.

Sounds like getting away from her was the right move. Don't let some woman treat you like shit because you're smitten. Glad you stood up for yourself.

Looking through the So Bad It's Horrible Film pages for potential additions to the Project, and I found this in the history page (although the last recorded edit is a minor revision that corrected a typo, it's not actually on the page proper somehow)

Quote:%% '''''Film/RamboLastBlood''''' is a misguided GrandFinale to the ''Franchise/{{Rambo}}'' franchise that blows its chance to take the series out with a bang in every conceivable way and demonstrates how not to end a legendary action film franchise. While the other sequels to ''Film/FirstBlood'' have their detractors, they have their fans, especially among highly patriotic Americans. ''Last Blood'', on the other hand, manages to alienate even that sector, with reviewers calling it a "MAGA fever dream" and a "radicalizing recruitment video". Given the stereotypical depiction of Hispanics and Latinos as criminals and Mexico itself as a WretchedHive, plus the fact that the one good Mexican character with any plot significance feels shoehorned and doesn't make it to the end, it's pretty hard to rebut their arguments, which is especially unfortunate since the film was released at the height of the Trump administration's power, which led to the MAGA comparisons in the first place. All political considerations aside, the film also reads more like a slasher film with a heroic murderer than just another cliche action film like its three predecessors, and the whole film feels like a ripoff of ''Film/{{Trackdown}}'', with its climax lifted directly from ''Film/HomeAlone''. Additionally, the film suffers from ContinuityLockout to an absurd degree, making the assumption that Wiki: , treating Rambo himself like a cipher, and leaving anyone under 40 wondering what the hell is going on. ''Literature/FirstBlood'' author Creator/DavidMorrell, who had at least some real appreciation for the first four films despite their diverging heavily from his creation and even wrote official novelizations for the first two sequels, went on record as disliking this one, calling it "a mess" and feeling "embarrassed to have my name associated with it", also telling Newsweek he felt degraded and dehumanized by just having seen it. And keep in mind, he had a similar opinion of ''Film/RamboIII'', but even that one he thought could've been improved. And even the alleged aforementioned alt-right slant fails, as it doesn't even take advantage of Trump's constant demonization of "the other", as Morrell bluntly told one fan. Morrell even went so far as to denounce the politics for even ''existing'' within the film, claiming that a lack of politics is why his novel remains in print to this day. With all these elements thrown together, this film thoroughly deserves its 28% rating on Website/RottenTomatoes, its 29 score on Metacritic, and its close failure to beat ''Film/RamboFirstBloodPartII''[='=]s opening weekend, grossing$19 grossing $19 million in its own opening weekend

This could be a potentially interesting film for the Deep Hurting Project, but I'm not going to watch it in theaters. I've made it a policy of watching any preceding films in a series before reviewing any sequel film for the Deep Hurting Project, and before watching Son of the Mask this week, I'm going to rewatch the original The Mask even though I know it has literally nothing but Ben Stein and the titular mask in common. If the other four films are necessary to understand anything about it, well, I've only watched the first one, so I'd have to watch those middle three films, so I think this will have to wait until the DVD comes out. And I think that a proper review could also double as an explanation of why I think First Blood is one of those films that actually does deserve a remake (because the original film changed a lot, notably the fact that Rambo survives at the end), at least something with higher production values than this:

Day three of no cigarettes.
I'm feeling good about it but I thought the withdrawal symptoms would be slightly less by now.
Bad enough that I don't want to have to go through it all over again.
