I just assumed you were on holiday.
Glad you're okay.

4:00 a.m. here. Just got up to go to the bathroom. Now I'm going back to bed.

After several days of radio silence, I finally got back from the warehouse about the job interview. It looks like I’m going to do it on Sunday. Still scared shitless about it, whether or not I actually get the job. On the one hand, I’ve done a shitton of courses in accounting, so I should be ready for it (and a job that pays more than $300 a month; since I still live at home, we’ve at least got the Maslovian needs covered with Dad’s pension) but, on the other, I’m a creature of habit, and having to do a different job from the candy store is scary.
This week in the Deep Hurting Project is the 2005 remake of The Fog.

Sounds like me when I went into full respiratory arrest.

The only two reasons I watch the original movie is Adrenne Barbeau's tits and the view of Pt Reys Station where I used to live.
Thinking about it - that's really 3 reasons...

How weird is it that, somehow, I, a guy with such a deep reference pool as I do, hear Adrienne Barbeau’s name and immediately think of this?
And, as a distant second, her turn as the most vile villain in the history of Sons of Anarchy?
Also, I FINALLY got a proper response back from the job I applied for. This is the third time I tried to schedule a job interview. They offered thrice: first they said Wednesday afternoon wouldn’t work for them, second, I suggested Friday and they blew it off, and the third time, they finally got back to me and we had a brief phone interview. If my Dad’s responses were any indication, It went well.

I'm determined to make what would likely be a rash decision and make it not so.

A few weeks ago, I bought a copy of a twofer of Horrible Histories books. In it, they include a few recipes, including this recipe for gingerbread:
And I decided to make it (after using a coffee grinder to properly crush the aniseed, I decided to follow these instructions.
Why the fuck was I expecting this to taste good? To be fair, Dad apparently likes it, but it just gives me heartburn.

Went to my daughter semester reunion at the kindergarden. Its her first year and adapting well. The only snag is that she has a tendency to unleash a can of whoopass on her collegues, namely boys, even the older ones (she is 3 but wearing clothes for 5 y o.). Surely she takes that from her mother.
No teaching kung fu for her then.
