Nope.  I had my final practical exam for Beginning NZSL. They emailed the results - 94%. I start Intermediate in February.

I've just finished "availing myself" of a 100g bar of this. Wowz. Seriously. Also avoids irritating melted chocolate on fingers conundrum. 

Oops, I did it again...took just 10 mins this time...if I were to fill an evening with this form of "indulgent entertainment" I'd soon be, well...different tack preferable.

A little heads up for guitarists here: if you’re not satisfied with the way your pick sounds, like you think it might be too bright, or if you’re nostalgic for the aesthetics of tortoise shell picks and want to neither to pay far out the ass for them nor kill a critically endangered turtle, try these:



I’ve been curious about trying to recapture the picks the ancients used, but this is the first one I’ve found in quite some time to recapture both the look and the tone of those picks (and in a size and thickness I’m used to, no less), but, if you don’t think $2 per pick is too high, this may be the pick for you.

We xeriscaped our front yard to minimize our water usage here in sunny southern California. Drought-tolerant plants, soaker hoses underneath wood shavings/bark, etc. On the parkway, we put pea gravel. Well, there is one gal who walks her dog (and herself) through the gravel, and ends up knocking it all over the sidewalk (where they could and should be walking) and the street. We even put out caution tape to stop it, but she lifts the dog over and puts it in the gravel.   

I went up today and bought 1/4 ton of river rock and distributed them at each end of the parkway. It looks like I need another 3/4 ton, but we're going to lay more flagstone first so that entry and exit for vehicles parked at the curb will be better. Then, more giant baking potato-sized river rocks will be put in until even the dog won't want to walk through it.

I collect picks because - let’s face - they’re really cool, but I never use them.
