I made 15 bean soup in the Instant Pot for the first time. Waiting for corn bread to get done. I'm pretty happy with the taste test. Will see what husband thinks...I know he'll eat corn bread, we'll see what he thinks of the soup.

Got a knock on my door soon after getting home today.

A guy trying to get me to sign up for a new internet connection, "It's free. The set up, that is!"

"Not interested!"

"But we can set it up and it won't cost you a cent."

"Not interested."

"And then we can give you a deal on the monthly fee!"

"You don't get told to fuck off often, do you?"

Recently got off the phone with a Jehovah's Witness who wanted to preach to me about the present state of the world as predicted in the Bible. I told her that I'm far more qualified to comment on the Bible since I'm a certified minister in The universal Life Church and have read six different versions of the Bible in their entirety over the past 40 years, including the New World Translation. That seemed to stop her in her tracks for some reason and she said she'd call me again at another time. I didn't even get to tell her that I'm and atheist.

Oh crap!  Are they calling now?  Will this become a thing in between the calls I get regarding my extended car warranty and announcements that I have won a week at the Marriott?

They aren't proselytizing door-to-door right now on account of the Covid Virus, so they're calling people, probably using a progressive dialing method. I know this because I have an unlisted number.

I've had both of mine and it wasn't horrible.

A couple years ago I had the shingles shots...if I were to have to get that second one again, I would have to ask if death was not an option.  That was 100x worse than the COVID vaccine.
