It's cool outside and sunny. I've had my breakfast and now I'm going to workout, then working on a painting later. Ah, Saturday.

I need a new hobby. I browse through the new posts on two forums, check the news in my email, run through a handful of article in the Times or The Post, and then I'm done.

The problem is that it happens too quickly, and I spend another hour or so circling in hopes that something interesting will pop up.

Like what? I know you have limitations so I can't just start throwing ideas out there.

But I get it...I spend a lot of time waiting for something to pop up on the forum and some days I don't feel like sewing so I just waste a lot of time. I wish I could get back into reading but instead I play online solitaire and other games like that. It's not like I don't have books here to read.

As a lifelong introvert, I have to say that this pandemic is pushing things for me too. I suppose I didn't realize how much my social needs were met by brief interactions in the office. Now the interactions in my office are when one or more of the dogs wander in or the cat comes in demanding to be fed. I find myself looking forward to seeing and speaking with the guy who brings my groceries when I go for pickup on Friday mornings. sigh

And my headache is back. I don't have the TV set up in the bedroom yet, and it's 8" too short for the space now that my new bed is in place.

Prior to the pandemic, my main social outlet was book clubs and discussion groups. But when things went virtual, I lost that. Now it's just the brief conversations at the plasma center.

It won't come up until next year, but seeing friends and families chatting away at the ballgame made me realize that I need a baseball friend.

Found out the online appointment scheduling system is back up and running for my doctor. I think they took it offline last year when things got real bad with COVID and they were often short staffed in the office. So, I have an appt. for 7 am on Monday. I am hoping all that's wrong is that my B-12 has tanked again and a few shots will fix it. That's why I took the earliest appt. She will want fasting blood so may as well go early and pick up breakfast on the way home.
