It's very muddy out. Enjoying a nice slice of pizza for lunch. The trenches had been dug out the previous week and the ground was still basically frozen on our first day. The footings would be for a small lake house about (20' x 50'). The ground sloped from it's high point at the NW corner to a low point on the SE corner. We had a step down of 16 inches about 2/3rds the way from west to east. My brother and I formed up the outside area and then the next day, rest of the crew arrived to do the inside. We'll use fox blocks on top of the step down to bring the footing up higher on the east side, once the basic footing has hardened. On our third day of forming, I caught a cold and felt like I was dying last night. So today and tomorrow I'll be taking care of me and resting at home.

Therapist appointment in a couple of hours. Then I'm preparing a rib roast. Not much on today's agenda. I got food stamps today, but don't need any food except maybe some fresh thyme for the roast.

I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.
Late last night, I was watching a Chris Hansen video on YouTube when it looked like it was stalling. I go back and see if it loads some more in the interim. It did not. I tried refreshing the page. It never reloaded. I try opening another tab. It never loads. Same thing happens when I restart Firefox, restart the router, restart the computer, or even empty the cache (it took a while for that to even show up as an option). Eventually, it turns out that there’s a bug in Firefox’ Implementation of Http3 that’s fucking it up. So, Dad found out where the bug was, we disabled it (by disabling HTTP3). I hope it never becomes a problem again, and hope Firefox releases an update soon where we don’t have to disable it to use the damn browser.

No problem there.

Decided to dry-brine my roast for a couple more days. I couldn't find the fresh herbs I wanted, so this will give me time to try a couple of other stores.

Well hell, thought you were building it for yourself. We had a lake 'cabin', during the winter the boat was stored inside. Originally it had a barn door on the back side, replaced later with a garage door.
