I’m at my first Ravinia concert of the season: Rodrigo y Gabriela. And it looks like it’s shaping up to be a better season than the last. Especially since they’ve decided to shrink the preferred lawn to the extent that people with regular lawn tickets actually have a chance of seeing the screens.

Just went to get my instructions for cat-sitting over the weekend. Daughter and husband are going to Missouri to a wedding and granddaughter is flying off to San Diego.

Trying to decide what to do with the rest of the day. I clipped all three dogs this morning and then went to daughter's house to tend to their cats. It's hot as blazes outside so I don't think going out to cook in the sun is in the cards.

I am going to make a pineapple upside down cake for Father's Day. But husband's at work and I know he likes it fresh from the oven so I don't want to make it too early.

Just started a pot roast. I had intended to start it earlier, as if that was going to happen.

Just finished the forth audiobook I have listened to in the last two weeks. I made a switch from binge watching to binge listening.

Also placed an order for more quilting supplies with the gift cards my boss gave me on Friday.

I should be able to upholster the whole house in quilts in a couple more months.

Idea for getting the best out of your Uncut Gems Blu-Ray: get the vanilla edition (the one with the extra DVD copy and just the one feature.) Then, order the disc for the Criterion “bejeweled Furby” edition here. That way, you can have the version with all the bells and whistles for when you’re at home, and a DVD copy for when you’re up in Wisconsin and all you have is the portable DVD player, and spend just a bit more than $20. And before you ask, “or you can just watch it on Netflix” is no longer an option because they pulled it from Netflix last month.
