Planning a trip to visit my granddaughter in college. Been a while since I've known anyone in college, so I'm not sure what to bring her these days. Maybe some snacks.

When you figure that out, let me know.  My oldest granddaughter is supposed to start college next fall.

Removed the Middle-earth Shadow Bundle from my PS, thank goodness I got it super cheap on sale, because the game is too hard even on easy mode.

cleaning up and repairing a house I’ve been renting out for a couple of years to put it on the market.   The last tenant trashed it, but not as badly as the management company led me to believe.

Lived in the house 2 years out of the last 5.   So it’s sale would qualify as sale of primary residence and don’t have to pay capital gains.    The realestate price is sliding fast, but if I wait for it to recover, given almost certainty of a lengthy and possibly severe recession, that will mist likely be 2+ years, by which time it would no longer qualify for capital gain exemption.   Also having some cash in reserve during recession is good.    

So putting the house up for sale.

Same, with a house we rented for about 6 years. Last 6 months, we saw no rent money. They did really stupid shit, but it's not too bad. Clean up (some company is doing that, not me), paint as necessary. If it takes an interior repaint, that won't be me, either. Vacuumed the standing water out of the dishwasher. I guess it crapped out during the time they weren't paying rent. It would have been a bit much to ask for repairs when one isn't paying rent.    Now, just to get a dumpster for the shit they abandoned. I'm really glad that the derelict car is gone, too. We're losing a ton of money not just in rent payments, but if they hadn't slid under the covid renter moratorium, we could have sold it for more, 6 months ago. They got out 1 week before the sheriff locking them out, whining the whole time.
