Had a good day. Two productive trips to Best Buy, and a glorious win for the Vikings. Even without a win, it was a hell of a game.

I haven't been able to accomplish much since losing Karm yesterday.

Other than deeply feeling her absence I haven't been able to focus on much of anything today.

Getting ready to go look at TVs at Best Buy again. Fourth time this weekend. I've got a little time to kill first. My bus is 10 minutes late and there's only 10 minutes between connecting buses at Raymond Ave Station.

Wondering how the house can feel so empty without Karm. I went to my desk to work this morning and sorely missed the little snores coming from under the desk drawer where she spent her time while I worked.

Relaxing with some peppermint cream liqueur over ice. I'll be ordering a new 65" TV in the next day or two. Just a few details left to nail down before ordering. In the meantime, I've been buying myself unnecessary Christmas presents. I've bought an electric meat slicer, a phone, and two air fryers in the past week. I'll leave them in the box until Christmas in case things go pear-shaped and I need the money from returning them.

I didn't realize it until a short while ago, but today marks 180 days since I last drank alcohol. Life has been palpably better since.

Well, that was weird. When I ordered my new TV from Best Buy, it stripped the extended warranty off the order when I placed it. It thought about it for a few minutes and then popped up a message saying that I still had time to add an extended warranty to my order. I don't know which parts of my order are going to end up under the promotional financing and which parts not. It's a good thing I'm keeping a large cash reserve for my initial payments.

Got a good bit done today. I've got rearranging the furniture broken down into about six steps. I did most of step one today. Got all the extra devices and cables pulled from the old TV and the entertainment center. And I got my TV ordered, though it went through piecemeal, so I won't know until it posts at the bank what parts get promotional financing. As noted earlier, when I placed my order, Best Buy stripped the extended warranty off. A few minutes later it offered to allow me to add the warranty to the order, which I did. I'm checking the order a few minutes later, and find the charge on the extended warranty didn't go through (no PIN), and I was requested to revise payment. After revising payment, it showed that it was awaiting authorization. I am checking my email about 15 minutes later to find that I've gotten a text from Citibank's fraud department asking if I'd attempted the charge for the warranty. I answered yes, and it spat back that it had declined the charge -- presumably the first one -- and had re-enabled my card for use. All's well that ends well, I suppose. I'm just hoping that most of it gets the promotional financing. I may need to cancel and reorder if the TV itself didn't get promotional financing. And I'd probably lose my coupon code in the process.
