With that quest done, I can only handle so much intensity for one evening, perhaps I'll finish writing this chapter I've been working on for days.

Vacuum sealing some chicken. Cub had Gold 'n' Plump thighs and drumsticks for 99-cents a pound. I've got one more round of salsa chicken planned, and then I've got a recipe for Dijon mustard chicken that I've been dying to try.

Finished the chapter. Proud of the new character I am developing based on, lets just say, mirrors. Partly based on mythology, superstition, and fairy tales, but with my own modern spin.

Worked, got a haircut and coloring. I haven't had it this short since probably 2010.

Put the recliner back in my room, but also keeping the small loveseat so there's not an empty space that needs occupying.

Accomplished two things today:
1) Finishing an article about “Wonderwall” for Anglotopia.
2) Perfecting the art of using the MyMini sandwich maker for my three-cheese, two-meat grilled cheese sandwich.




Hints:
1) it takes time for it to get compressed enough to close the lid. Take advantage of this to get it browned enough.
2) Put it on a plate to collect the melted cheese.
3) A pizza slicer helps the two halves separate.
4) Grease: a combination of olive oil and bacon grease.
5) clean the cheese off the sandwich maker when you’re done.

Figuring out what to do till it's time to go to sleep. I finished the book I was listening to earlier today. I am in between seasons of the couple shows I want to watch. True Crime is all repeats for me now. I don't feel like sewing....decisions, decisions.

In the meantime, I collected several toys from the yard that were filthy, brushed as much of the dirt off them as I could and have them in the wash with a couple towels hoping to save a few of them. Every time Harley goes out the back door she thinks she needs to circle back and grab a toy to bring along. She seldom brings them back in the house...she's a little furry toddler.

Lexy does the same thing. She'll grab whatever is close to the door, often one of my wifes shoes. When we go to grab a load of dirty laundry she practically jumps in the basket to carry a towel or sock down to the basement. The item never makes it to the laundry room.

Power's back on; the dogs aren't panting anymore. This effort could have been delayed until more opportune weather was on hand. 108° F outside, 85° F in the house, and we couldn't even run a fan. I want to move someplace where it doesn't get so hot, like the alleged Hell. The electricians rigged a tarp over their work area, but I could tell that they were overheated. I have misters for cooling, but considered that a bad idea around an open 240V potential.

Fart. I forgot to pull the chicken from the freezer yesterday.
