Listening to a city crew tear up the sidewalk out front and who knows what else. The sewer line to the street has been crushed for the third time since we have lived here due to the ground shifting. It's great as my office is in the front of the house so I get the full effect of the roar of the machinery.

I had a few groceries delivered and the poor guy had to park on the side of the house and traipse through the yard to get to the door. I had no warning this was happening. They just showed up with implements of destruction. *sigh*

A few years ago I was trying to figure out what the dogs were barking at and walked out into the dark to figure it out.  One of these was hanging upside down in the tree right off the deck.  Damn, they are creepy.

We saw it about a week ago out on the fence and I believe it's what has been eating from the garden. Just ordered a live trap from Amazon.

Listening to the dogs bark at the cat from next door. That cat loves our front porch...or just likes to torment my dogs. (S)he will flop down in front of a window and stretch out and roll around and just aggravate the dogs to pieces. Now, we have a cat so it's not like this is an unknown creature to them.

It's like the weekly barkoff to the trash truck except that it happens in my office and not at the back of the house.
