Unboxing some stuff that I bought over the holidays. Playing with my infrared thermometer. It's really cool. It's banged up a bit, but it was $3 off new on account of the cosmetic damage.

Setting up my new ice maker. You're supposed to let it sit for 24 hours before plugging it in, in case the coolant got discombobulated by tilting or inverting during setup. I was careful, so I can probably skip that part, but better safe than sorry. I grabbed a bag of ice at Target last night to tide me over until tomorrow. The only bummer so far is that the drain plug is on the underside of the unit, unlike my last one which had the drain plug easily accessible in the back of the unit.

Attached my palm carving tool rack to the bench. I've been letting if move around, but I bumped it off the bench and had tools flying. Fortunately, none are damaged. Now if I bump it, I'll probably get a bruise. I need to consider a better long-term solution.

Fucking A. The #7 bus was already 10 minutes late, but the bus driver departed from his route, completely bypassing the stop I was waiting at. That bus only runs once an hour on the weekend. I could take a 7:05, but Walmart is delivering an order sometime after 8 P.M., so if something went wrong that I missed the return bus, I'd be hosed.

Went to Target today to get a pair of jeans and maybe see what physical media was left. This was what was left in physical media:



Yep. Just that, and maybe a couple extras in the clearance rack. Not even a price tag. Also, an entire rack’s worth of LPs. I fucking hate that nobody gives a shit about physical media anymore.

At least I got the jeans.

The pump on my new ice maker is rather loud. I'm going to return it and get the same model that I had last time. No sense in messing with success.
