What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
It's fucking POURING outside. I want to smoke a cigarette (yes - failed to quit) after this bowl of pot. The weather, however, is giving me so many middle fingers.

Stayed up all night with the wife drinking and having sex. I'm getting too old to pull all nighters.
Everything I needed to know about life I learned on Dagobah.

I am searching for purely atheist fiction to read, and I am surprised to discover that there is basically no such thing. There is fiction with atheistic or humanistic characters, there is non-fiction books in relation to atheism, but there are no actual fiction books with strictly atheistic plots. No atheistic genre in fiction. I do understand that a great many science fiction novels are built around humanistic ideas, but the genre of the books are still science fiction.

Is there a reason atheist authors rarely dabble in the fictional world?

Also, I want to add a something I read in King's latest novel, Doctor Sleep.

The main character, Daniel Torrance, was looking through a woman's medicine cabinet when he sees a tube for yeast infection. He thinks, I am glad that I was circumcised.

What would that plot line look like, Kitanetos?

Main Character: "I don't believe in God."
Secondary Character: "Huh."
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I am still unclear, but I was thinking of attempting to accomplish something to the effect of a purely atheistic fiction novel.
