Just returned from dinner with friends. I was seeing a guy for about five months and we broke up about two months ago. He and I met through mutual friends and he was pretty awesome. Well, one of those friends was with our group tonight and she told me he's been seeing someone (which I knew) and he's moving to England for his job. And apparently, she's going with him. Next month he's leaving.
I've been casually seeing a guy for the past few weeks, but I guess that news surprised me.
Or saddened me. Or both. :/

Making dinner: lamb chops with mushrooms on the stove-top, acorn squash in the oven, bread in the machine. Probably ought to start making salad.

That's a difficult/weird situation to cope with. Hard to accurately describe the emotions you are feeling.
Been there. I felt almost silly, like I shouldn't be feeling sad/jealous/awkward/1000 other funky feelings that that girl was doing things with other people without me.

Eating curry for dinner and am happy the kitz ate their homemade food. They're usually way picker than they have been. Weird.

Hey Deirdre, me too, same boat.
I'm just trying to avoid thinking about what's the new one got that I don't.
Obviously it couldn't be looks. Arrgghh, don't think about it. :-)
