Is it soup yet? Almost!

The gf is prepping to make turkey brie panini melts.

I don't like soup, but that sounds yum. Cool

Don't... like... soup....????!?

No soup for you!

Dude... Steel... I've officially decided I'm never going to go out of my way to see Cake again. That guy is an effing douche. Seriously man. I'm there to see them play music; not to go on ridiculous tirades about arbitrary things.

And here I am, ranting. Done now.

We're always very interested in seeing anything you want to get off your chest .. like your shirt and so on, RexySexyBecky.

Made the turkey soup tonight. One awesomely big kettle. We will be eating it for many days to come. Already ate it tonight and I went back for seconds.

Recipe: water enough to cover the carcass and all the bones (with plenty of meat remaining) brought to a boil then lowered to a simmer for an hour and a half or so with bay leaves and pepper.

Then as much of the bones and carcass as I can find comes out and cools off while I cut up and add to the stock: a large celery, three onions, two pounds of carrots and a bunch of parsley.

By the time I'm done the bones can be picked over by hand. With Heidi ready at any moment to gulp down any bit of gristle or skin I deem unworthy of the soup pot, I sift through it by hand removing all the good meat to one pan, all the bones to another and all the doggy scraps she shouldn't eat all at once in a third. Then the meat goes back in and in about another half hour everything is done. So good. (Also bought a box of Buisquick to make dumplings.)

Sounds about like what I did, whatev. Started with what was left on the breastbones (we just did breast this year) chopped carrot, onion, and celery. Boiled it gently for about an hour, pulled out the bones and meat, and strained out the veggies and suh. Returned the stock to the pot and boiled it (gently) down for a few hours. Added more chopped carrots, celery, and onion, thyme, rosemary, basil and sage, and as an afterthought, threw in a couple of chopped russet taters. Cooked til the veggies and taters were done, then threw in the good meat from the bone. Yum!

Did something pretty similar with the ham bone as well, except left out the taters and threw in a couple pounds of lentils instead. Had to reduce the stock on that one longer as well to get the flavor concentrated.

I now have a ton of soup in the fridge and freezer. Gonna eat good for the next week or two.

Honestly, W'ist, you'd swear I was an adolescent boy if you saw under my shirt. Not impressive.

Watching the Vikings football game. We're doing surprisingly well, but it's early yet.

I wouldn't get confused unless you insisted on anal. Even then there is something in the flair of a girly backside that is unmistakeable. I'll bet I had at least one girlfriend with less on top than you. The nipples are still distinctly female. I think most males probably like a wide variety of newbies. Viva la difference!

Cooking a chicken.

Not as ambitious as turkey but it should be good.

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"
