Atheism is the default from birth. You get indoctrianted into religion, not into atheism. There is no concept/thinking involved except a lack of belief. And that's it.

Thinking skeptically would make you a skeptic. I've met plenty of atheists who still believe in dumb things like ghosts and Wicca. They're still atheists, but by your definition they're not.

I don't know why you are surprised. If you think scientifically you think skeptically. If you think skeptically you will dismiss religious thought. This is why you need to "just open your heart" to Jesus or Allah to get faith.

I said it many times, an atheist is simply a person that rejects the claims made by theists, that is: "there are god(s)". I don't accept their claim, therefore I am an atheist. Nothing else can be inferred, and I know personally 2 atheists, that care nothing about science, yet, they are atheists.

Sure, science is our best method to obtain knowledge, we cannot know objectively what we can't somehow detect/observate, but science does not seek to prove/disprove god(s), Its simply looking at our surroundings and try to understand how it works.

Fidel, Lastpoet, I agree with you in principle. This is why I put "None" in stead of "Atheist" in the place of Religious Views because really I found it unreasonable for me to classify atheism as a religious view. But, on the other hand, atheism is the default option in a supposed ideal world (In which a paper and a stone touch the earth in the same moment when they are thrown from the same height ). Sorrowfully for evolutionary shit which is out of control faith became the default and atheism (agnosticism) became the exception. Faith and religions dominate the world and you need, mainly, to think rationally or scientifically or to be cultured to be atheist which is the originally default option that is supposed not to need such skills.
