What the fuck? You think the way to world peace is through censorship? Fine, if they hate gays in Russia and pass censorship laws on that too, do you think you'd have any rights yourself as supporter of gay rights?

What separates us from the middle east AND Russia is that we don't use government censorship to control people.

Then you are for outlawing Christianity too? They spread violence throughout the world also.

Those who support the existence of a god-based religion support all god-based religions. But, what part of the news aren't you people watching? Muslims are poisoning the free world. This religion above all other religions has to GO! The only way to do this is to no longer recognize it as a religion.

Debate? That ship has come and gone more times in the last fifty years than I can count. It's time to act - time for laws to change to get these believers the hell out of western civilization. These people want Sharia law, well it's already established in the Middle East. All they have to do is pack up and go there.

And THAT is why we will end up being a Muslim state. We've tied our own hands via our laws, rights, and freedoms. By supporting the rights of Muslims we are destroying our own freedoms! Once they become a majority in the free world, THEN you will see gay rights gone, women's rights gone, freedom of expression gone, religious freedom gone (With Muslims there can be only one religion).

No, you're separating the cancer from the body it's growing in while letting the cancer remain there. What do you do with cancer? You get RID of it!

What do Muslims do about the cancer within their religion? NOTHING!
There is an ALLLL-knowing, ALLLL-powerful, inVISible being who is everywhere, who created the WHOLE universe, who lives in another dimension called heaven, who is perfect in every way, who was never born and will never die, and who watches you every minute of every day (even when you're squeezing one out on the toilet). There are also unicorns, leprechauns, Santa Claus, an Easter Bunny, and a giant purple people eater.

JUST BELIEVE IT!

Umm....no, first of all, the majority of Muslims are not terrorists nor will they ever be. Their religion is no worse or better than christianity. Yes I know that conservative christianity is the root of our problem today, but that is due to ignorance and that is slowly but very definitely being changed.

Second, there are far worse dangers the muslims such as global warming. Unless that is dealt with, there will be huge survival difficulties much less religious issues.

I don't care for any religions. But Islam is the worst.

Will Islam eventually take over? Maybe. I think those of us in the US should just wait and see what happens in Europe. If Europe turns Islamist and turns into a hellhole like the Middle East we can crush Islam over here to prevent it from crossing the pond.

As much as I loathe religion, I totally feel it's wrong for a government to single out one faith and ban their holy book. What's going to happen to Russian Muslims now? Many will feel they have to leave behind their homes and friends and move to another country. Islamaphobes will get a nice boost of confidence that their government supports their hate campaign and could become more actively hateful towards the Muslims who choose to stay.

As much as I'd love to see religion banned in general; shit like this won't help and will just harm people in the end. There are ways of doing these things without making a minority group feel even less comfortable in their own homes.

I can empathize, Russia, singling out, one religion doesn't seem to be saying much other than their policy makers are a bunch of brain-dead
automatons. I believe, Russia, not to long ago in a grotesque demonstration of the their Christian/Catholic values, imprisoned three girls for freedom of speech. Then, the moratorium on homosexuality...Jesus is clearly culpable if he comes back let's kill him again.

On a serious note what would you or anyone suggest as an alternative measure that has the same end result - no religion?

It is just my opinion, but the religion isn't the problem. It is the culture in the middle east that is the problem. That along with repressive governments, corruption, unemployment, poverty, and lack of education. You solve that problem and you will solve most of the terrorism problem.

What about those that come to our side of the world to get away from Sharia? This is a religion people is born into. Can you imagine how it would be like if you were born into Islam and a woman? I'm very sympathetic to the plight of those that want to get out of it and I don't think it's fair that they'll be perpetually labelled as muslims who want Sharia. There are those that don't, and I know that there are many many who do, but those who want it are obvious. In a democracy you can win if your idea is popular enough.

So should we get rid of you for advocating the massacre of a group of people because of their religion?

No, muslims aren't doing enough about it. Some of them are silent because they know that what's going on can be justified by their qur'an so they don't do anything. But they're human beings and they have the capacity to change their actions and their beliefs.[/quote]

Actually, Islam is a large part of the problem, when they say something is justified by the qur'an, it actually is. They're not making that shit up.

I'd disagree only in the sense that you are separating Islam from culture, when the religion is the culture. The governments are repressive because they believe they have divine authority granted by Allah to institute their oppressive policies..Conscience, common sense and reason are necessarily subordinated in anticipation of an Islamo-Fascist state and eventual world.

One point you make that is glaring is...lack of education. They certainly are doing their best to keep the influence of Iblis (Tree of Knowledge) at bay.

And christianity is any different? They have justified discrimination, hate, wars, slavery, you name it in the name of religion. Yet they changed. Not as much as they need, but they are far better than they were 500 years ago. They still justify hate, discrimination and wars, but not as bad.

A lot of the problems today in the middle east comes from the tribal culture and quite frankly from poverty. When you live in poverty it is easy to find a greener path on the otherside and justify some of the worst crimes. As muslims move into this country and given time their culture changes. Religion doesn't triumph culture, it is the other way around.
