I would personally throw down the gauntlet on such a challenge. Goddamn, am I raring to go for it. Big Grin

And STILL repeating the same strawman. Grace, you have been told time and time again that no such assumption exists in the scientific method.

But it's interesting that you accept some principles- such as the structure of DNA and its changeability- which were discovered by the same scientific method you deplore. If science is so atheistic, how can you trust any of its conclusions at all? How do you REALLY know that DNA exists, or that mutations occur? Hadn't you better just deny ALL of it, just to be on the safe side of Pascal's wager?

Not assuming that there is a god is not the same as assuming there isn't a god.

Science makes neither assumption.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

The Republicans aren't always wrong.

This one is.

Its testament to grace's stupidity that none of our other more extreme theists are getting involved in this
'The more I learn about people the more I like my dog'- Mark Twain

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

You're right. I once heard one say, "It's great to be here." Everything after that, however...

No man, stay away from theist babies. But if you insist, go with something less brain clogging, like a liberal's baby or Buddhist baby.

I got of that shit, I moved to kittens. Lean and no dogma.

Thought I'd put this into a second thread just to maximize the chances for Gracie.

If our current crop of Republican nitwits were not the childish brats they are, and had the mindset of Teddy Roosevelt, we never would have gotten into this mess.
