Abiogenesis is impossible

I asked for evidence. The arguments from free will, morality and the teleological arguments are not evidence, they are just arguments. And the bible is not evidence either, it is yet another claim that Christians have been unable to provide evidence for.

Sources are for the scientist, but the believers just have faith.

Okay, well this thread has grown a lot since I asked about my debate, but let's just recap Sword's position here:

In his own words, he has a hundred thousand years of evidence, scholars by the bucketload, and a universe that testifies to the truth of his claims, whereas I have... nothing, and I can't demonstrate my position at all. That's what he thinks is up, here.

And yet, despite the vast weight of evidence he can bring to bear, and the dearth of evidence I have, he still won't accept a simple offer to go into the debate area and debate this in a structured setting that would require him to present his evidence, rather than just assert that it exists. He would crush me, he thinks... and yet, he won't...

What is it that you're afraid of, Sword? Thinking

Close-- I don't believe that god exists and I base that belief on the lack of evidence. For example, the way that you go on about evidence without actually producing any, or the way you point to "100,000 years" of evidence that doesn't include, you know... ever actually demonstrating god.

And of course, your answer for not demonstrating god is that god cannot be demonstrated... but I'm supposed to have evidence for my belief???
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

And string theory won't be confirmed until it actually has evidence supporting it besides 'the math works and it doesn't contradict previous observation'. Theoretical physicists tend to flatter their models by calling them theories prematurely, IMHO.

I think it is a historical artifact because chosen in analogy to quantum field theory, which also isnt a theory.
Particular attempts to realize the standard model specifically are called string models in the community. ST is the name for the mathematical framework.

Atheism involves the lack of belief or non-belief in God and by extension any associated religious doctrine to do with God or higher power by whatever name. Though naturally you have no good reason not to believe in God particularly given all the weight of the arguments and the evidence that bears down upon you, a crushing weight you can't hope to hold up. You must give yourself in to Christ! Worship (large)

I can't do it for you but I can give a pointer as to what the arguments are you could then put in the work yourself for a full conversion experience when realize how this stuff you were attempting to argue against was the truth all along. Some people may end up with Quran or whatever but that's fair enough each faith will have it's pitch and not everyone will be convinced the same way. Only a tiny minority of people are convinced by atheism proper and for good reason they're not.

Weight of evidence? You have no evidence.

And you still don't understand that atheism is not a belief that one is convinced by - it is the non-acceptance of theistic claims.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

Can SoCs sudden disappearance have anything to do with the demands for a debate? I wonder.....
