Atheist Forums Hall of Shame:
"The trinity can be equated to having your cake and eating it too." ... -Lucent, trying to defend the Trinity concept "(Yahweh's) actions are good because (Yahweh) is the ultimate standard of goodness. That’s not begging the question" ... -Statler Waldorf, Christian apologist
Embarrassing story: when I was towards the end of my questioning religion phase and realizing that I didn't believe in the christian god, or any other gods, I thought I had to "belong" somewhere, like with a church, so I looked into Scientology because I believed in the efficacy of the scientific method. I totally thought that Scientology would be about exchanging research papers or something and learning about science history and that it would all be evidence based and factual...
Yeah. That lasted about ten minutes into researching them. I saw the words "thetans" "Xenu" and "Galatic Confederacy," and thought, This is total bullshit, I guess I'm an atheist. So my answer to "Why don't atheists support Scientology?" is: Because it's bullshit.
Teenaged X-Files obsession + Bermuda Triangle episode + Self-led school research project = Atheist.
Neither do I support any other MLM scheme.

I am in the wrong line of work....cult leaders get more tail, more money, and hell authority......
Seriously, scientology is a cult man if you have an ounce of critical thinking left think for yourself! I would be a televangelist....but I have too much of a soul.
Well Xenu, I can always make a cult around Marine Jesus or something. Think about it, Jesus ascended into his space ship to fight the eternal war between demi-gods and the peoples of Alpha Centari V.
