A copy of my email sent to the office of Sen. Rand Paul, following his vote against funding the government:

Dear Sen. Jackass,

Thank you for recently voting against funding the government and trying to deliberately default on our nation's debts, thereby crashing the entire world economy! Great move for America! The whole economy might have burned down but you sure made your point, didn't you?

Your stupidity is matched only by your craziness. I'll be sure to remember your recent vote the next time you're up for re-election! I don't care if Donald Duck is your opponent, he'll get my vote before I consider voting for a moron like you!

True but he was at least lucid enough to not be among the few Senators that actually voted against preventing default. McConnell is a corporate whore but at least he's sane enough to realize that if he crashed and burned down the economy, he'd kill the corporations he services.

McConnell vs. Rand Paul is like the difference between Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden. Saddam was an evil man but he wouldn't take any joy in destroying the earth because he would only destroy his little dictatorship in the process. Someone like Bin Laden will happily trigger Armageddon because then he gets to go to Paradise.

This is what makes religious fanaticism much more dangerous than political fanaticism.

You know the economic collapse is inevitable, in fact I think we should have let it collapse. It would have been far better for us in the long run. Now we give the 1% more time to take all resources for themselves. We need logic, reason and humanism to be the driving force of government now. Power, influence, and monetary gains are primitive and nearly obsolete in todays world....or at least it should be.
