I'd say no, but then my opinion could well be biased Wink

I can't help but wonder if there actually is anything to do there; it looks quite small and isolated and bingo probably gets boring very very quickly....

Pretty much the whole island is full of old people. We have pubs and (slow) internet, that's basically it. The tourist attractions are all really half arsed (at best). Mind you, I love going for walks and there are some wicked views

I used to go to Sandown on the Island twice a year. Lovely place. Lots of old people.

Heya, how come you go to Sandown twice a year?

Hopefully I've just mastered the whole quote thing going on here Wink
If I have not then please feel free to provide instructions to make me feel like less of an arse.

So all in all, it's rather naff other than the views? When your not working (or on here :p) what do you do?

Welcome from the land that has a flightless bird as it's national symbol.

I wouldn't worry too much about the quote tags, I'm always screwing them up. I try to remember to preview the post to make sure I've got them right Big Grin

I don't really do anything particularly interesting at the moment. I usually just spend my free time on the xbox or going out for a walk for a few hours or so, I find it's really easy to get lost my in thoughts that way, so it's a great way for me to chill out and think about weird shit. I used to do medieval combat but it's an expensive hobby and I haven't really been able to afford it for a couple of years.

Edit: I also think faster than I type

Hiya! London here.

Oh, I haven't been for like 5 years now. I used to go there when I had no money, but still wanted a kind of holiday. There was (is?) this place in Sandown, right on the seafront where we would rent a little studio flat thing with a massive balcony, but no private bathroom (which didn't really bother me much as there were plenty of toilets and bath/shower rooms across the hall, so I never had to wait or anything) and they only charged £80 a week +VAT for 2 people. I think that was about £94 iirc, or £47 each, for 7 nights. Crazy cheap. So yeah, we just kept going back there because it was a cheap getaway thing.
