Another fictional "I've been to heaven" book
Quote:Former religious skeptic believes she talked to God during the 9 minutes she was dead

Crystal McVea, 36, died for nine minutes after doctors overdosed her on pain medication in the hospital
She says during those nine minutes she went to heaven and met God
The married school teacher and mother of four says she was sexually-abused as a child and underwent an abortion when she was a teen which led her to believe God didn't love her or didn't exist
She now full-heatedly believes in God and shared her experience in new book 'Waking Up In Heaven'

The only thing these people are realizing is that there is money to be made from gullible believers who will buy their crap.

So, a woman has a traumatic childhood experience, and then, suddenly, under the influence of lots of drugs, has a supernatural experience that allows her to cope with her trauma. I'm supposed to be impressed how?

It makes me wonder what god said to her to excuse himself from doing anything about her being raped as a child. He was busy?

So she was zonked out of her mind on probably morphine and either close to or experiencing clinical death, so is it unreasonable to suggest that she hallucinated the whole thing?

The trouble is that once your fame & fortune starts fading, what do you do for an encore? I guess luckily there are enough churches around the country to get paid speaking engagements and to sell books at that you'll be busy for a good number of years.

There is something missing from her account.

Yeah, lots of money, which probably led her to write the book in the first place.

Ah, this sort of "conversion" stories sell so much better than visions from someone who's already a true believer.

I'll make three points...

1) She's a teacher? I say take the nutjob's credentials away. (unlessun yous dunt need um n Oaktreehomer)

2) I'm guessing she never passes a fast food restaurant without stopping. (can't Jesus heal obesity?)

3) I think Drich may be referring to the judgment.

Sweet so we ignore the part in the Bible about no-one ever going to heaven and returning and also that no-one has ever seen God all that stuff is a pile of crap because this woman who has a 'Mental' difficulty believes she seen God.

I believe she whole heartidly believes she met God and who knows maybe she met 'A' God lol.

And I bet theres more words in this book and it takes longer than 9 minutes to read which means to me its bull shit.

Lets say she takes 30 minutes to describe every intricate detail and 9 minutes of pure discussion that would mean reading at the standard flow of english I could complete this book in an hour.

Anything outside of the main dialog means shes fabricating bullshit too it.
