I'm not sure the two you quoted in the above post were doing any 'condemning'. I see them relating personal experiences - something which you do quite a bit of yourself. As far as the 'all Christians' part; it is possible that you're detecting the overall disdain most rational thinkers have for any group that accumulates its beliefs from fairy tales - 'all Christians' would definitely fit into that same category. Otherwise, there are many brands of Christianity, all disagreeing with one another. One was a grisly concerned Christian class mate whom was suggesting "you can go to Hell for this stuff, you know that right?"and the other was the angry "you're going to Hell for your sins!" Bullshit that I laughed at. For the classmate, I simply said "um... Nope. Not possible." Which of course broke his logic processes. The flamed however a tore into. There is a wonderful checklist you can spout off to such imbeciles.
Quote:1 - it is not your place to pass judgement, so says your god.
I really believe most Christians say that because they are concerned, not to be hateful, though I'm sure there are some, Christians like most people lack tact when what they believe is threatened.
Quote:2 - you cannot see what my future hold, so says your god.
No one can see your future, and you could change, however I would think that when one is told that they will be in hell for unrepentant sin, it's said about how one is conducting their life at the time. Those who say one is going to hell with malice needs to look at their own salvation, carefully.
Quote:3 - we are not cast into Hell, but the Lake of Fire, so says your god.
...and the difference is? Explain this to me please, and how is it that one could be in a lake of fire and still find themselves in a dark place. I personally do not believe in a firey hell where one suffers from physical pain, the hell I see from scripture comes with a greater suffering.
Quote:4 - even if I do not repent in this life, I get a second chance to do so at the Great White Throne Judgment, so says your god.
For one who says they studied scripture, you sure missed out on the meaning of the Great White Throne Judgement, so says my God.
Quote:5 - you apparently don't read or head your own Scriptures despite cclaiming you walk with Christ, which makes you a hypocrite, so says your god also.
It's apparent you should have applied this to yourself when you were in church. So who's actually the hypocrite, right.
Quote:6 - laslty, there is a special eternal death for those whom are Luke Warm, those who garner the closest to hate god can ever feel for you...so says your god.
The luke warm you refer to is a person who is pretending to be a Christian, you have fallen very short in your study of scripture... so says my God.
Quote:The individual started to cry there after though I didn't know if it was outve pure anger or fear. Some would even say she was "crying for my soul" but even if my soul was filled with bullet holes, im pretty sure it shone more light than hers did that day. That was until I went all black and figured I was atheist.
That made you feel proud did it, to hurt someone's feelings even though your's might have been hurt. Clearly you did not take anything good with you from scripture when you left the church. Clearly you did not shine that day, the blackness had already fallen on you.

First of all I was asking all non believers to not compare the Catholic Church with the protestant church, I wasn't referring to anyone in particular.
Second just because you decided the scriptures are a fairy tale does not make it so.
Third when Christ comes to gather up His church He will not care who belongs to what denomination, He will come and claim those who are saved through grace and make us His bride.

Yet you quoted two members in your post - that is what I was addressing (in context)

I bet you can't wait to consummate that marriage.
