Not half as disturbing as the wedding night. Unthink that one.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Rupture seems more apt, somehow.

What I find so offensive is that humans STILL believe in this childish crap called heaven and hell..

I never tell someone they're going to hell because that would just be stupid. I might tell them to go to hell. "To hell with you" can trip off the tongue without any thought of hell as a place in the Christian mythology.
If someone says that to me I just think they're pissed off about something. I certainly don't think they are putting a spell on me which will result in my being whisked off to a 'bad place'.

Actually I had a young man I just met tell me that he was afraid that I was going to go to hell because of my rejection of Jesus as my personal lord and savior. I didn't feel insulted or angry by his comments. I felt very sad and I felt pity for this person. I completely understand that these were the things he was taught by those around, I asked him if he has ever made a serious critical look at the tenets of his religion and to no surprise he felt that to do so would be sin. What else should I have felt but pity?

I voted other, someone telling me I'm going to hell would be hilarious.

You seem to have such a hard-on for assuming that we condemn all Christians. I was just referring a story about my religious upbringing. As I'm sure you probably don't like the Catholic church (neither do I), even so you should see the parallels with Protestant churches which also teach children that if they disobey God they'll go to Hell.
