I don't have foolish hangups that attempt to preserve my ego-fueled, sanctimonious facade. I chose to edit it out because it was another direct attack on you that wouldn't look good with our new rules we implemented. You know, lead by example and all that.

If you think there is a prize to be won by arguing over the internet, I'd suggest re-examining your priorities.
I don't know about the new rules, though I wasn't particularly offended by your personal attacks anyways.
No, not just over the internet. There is a prize in every argument. Always something else to discover. I enjoy picking arguments especially when done over the internet, they give you quite a lot more time to re-think your position, and adopt new concepts, or integrate them if they are applicable with your views.
Just to say, I have no real stakes here, it really matters little to me if you choose to adopt my stance, I'm just trying to figure out what on earth could make me adopt your stance.
Quote:Crybaby? Lol. Says the one offended by equality. How you concluded that I am a crybaby from two words I'd beyond me but I guess I gotta consider who I'm talking to
I think it is you who are offended by me who preaches inequality. And I stand by that word, since its the truth.
Quote:The very simple fact is that NOBODY has or ever will be able to show how heterosexual marriage is harmed in any way, shape, or form by allowing gay people to get married as well. And like I pointed out, if you keep banning gay marriage it's not going to force gay people back into the closet, so why be a dickhead and continue to refuse them the legal benefits of marriage?
But it is in fact an action taken against the marital institution we know of. Marriage, as I've stated in the previous pages, have always been between a man and a woman, with the obvious goals of creating a basis for the family institution. You want to do away with that concept, and create an entirely new concept. One that does away with the traditional family values that marriage espoused, one that does away with the social and moral values that marriage espoused, and create an empty concept that is up to the individual to fill in. Not one that is decided on the basis of social benefit and relevance.

But on the other hand, if the legal benefits is all that you seek, it can be done under a different context. However you are not even open to discussion about the subject, it is always about what you want.
Besides, gay marriage was never banned, because such a concept never existed. You just made it up out of thin air.

And you're supporting my position further. Your ignorance is too thick to penetrate. I guess we're both offended by each other's position and your not worth the circular argument. Your 'absolute truth' is an illusion that I hope you one day realise.

Another word that I think you people overuse is "ignorance". I don't know what I'm accused of being ignorant of, so enlighten me, perhaps we can disccuss further from there.
After all, ignorance isn't something to be ashamed of, but staying ignorant while being aware of your ignorance is. So please tell me what I'm so hopelessly ignorant of.

Oh how regressive and how foolish we are, that is what living in a backwater, superstitious shithole is like, my friend. We have fathers and mothers here, we have children that are born from fathers and mothers in a normal fashion, women are not used as surrogates to provide sodomites with children, so they can feel more "normal".

Against the modern world, with no one to back us, we march, the torch of vengeance burning bright, we go to burn down the false idol of liberal humanism.

...yeah, you already know what I'm gonna say.

I can't read minds. But I can guess that you're going to call me the things that everyone else did.
Really, I slowly begin to see a pattern in everything you people say.
By the way, I think I must reply to one more point made by the guy who's searching for truth.
He said this:
Quote:Your 'absolute truth' is an illusion that I hope you one day realise.

I think when speaking of illusion, I think one must consider the illusions that you think are reality. Like, "equality" when it comes to marriage. Let it be known, that such an equality will not even be there even if you make it legal. First and foremost of all, legitimate children will never be the fruits of that union. Second, they will never have the same social acceptance, nor the social responsibility of heterosexual couples, precisely because they lack tradition to back it up.
They will never be part of the family institution even if you want them to.
So what equality are we talking about? The only equality you know is not on earth, but in the fringe of your minds, they are illusions, and have no valid examples on earth.

And I can make a biblical, theological argument.

And I can use an argumentum ad baculum based on fear of Gods punishment!

You can not make an argument that stands up to reason, however.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

We on the other hand, defend modern institutions, such as marriage and family, while you wish them to accept your ancient customs relating to homosexuality.

Wait, so now you're a subversive agent ruining tradition with all your newfangled modern ideas? Are you incapable of making up your mind or are you pathologically incoherent?

Quote:And yes, when it is the foundations of society that is under attack, it is the solemn duty of any man and woman to protect it, may it be by force or otherwise. Why else would we have given the good fight against communism in the 60-70'ies? Now communism is gone, and liberal humanism, a descendant of the leftist thought that has shed its economic purpose has come to tell us what "progress" is, just as his big brother communism called everyone else reactionaries and fascists.

Yeah, whatever. Listen, Hitler Jr, acting like a butt pimple on the internet is great and all, but we're actually making things change and you're actually not stopping it.

Quote:What? You mean to tell me that I'm a seperatist? Obviously no.

I'm telling you that you are an artifact of humanity's infancy and you are completely incapable of preventing the overall evolution of society. You're hilariously impotent.

Quote:I don't know who you mean, but we're not represented by areas, but by groups, fraternities, and ideologies.

Enjoy it while you can.

Besides, the other examples really serve to assist my point. It's between a man and a woman.

Well, really... it's between a man and woman of royal (or otherwise noble) blood. All these commonfolk getting married and shit is an affront to the institution of marriage. Why they even want to get married is just... beyond me. I mean, if you're going to attach some sort of religious significance to a union or partnership: why the hell is a secular state using it for legal matters?

Marriage utterly removed from any and all legal benefits, I say. Give the benefits now-associated with that shit to a superior legal license. Smile

Only the ignorant argue FOR their ignorance, lol. By 'you people' I guess you mean non-believers? Well, Mr. morality, you put yourself here prepared to argue your position, so don't cop out and switch this on me, getting all huffy when you're challenged. Remember how the bible condones slavery, rape, abortion, thievery and suppression of the rights of women? If you do any of those things now, besides being an immoral piece of shit, you go to jail. In the future, marriage equality will be totally like that. but you don't see that cause you cling to your ancient writings of hypocrisy and masochism
