Hey there everyone... this is DaVinciNinja! Why DVN? Well, DaVinci is my favorite historical figure and a ninja is what I am. 
I am currently serving in the American "silent service" (submarine fleet) and am looking for a place to discuss topics with fellow atheists/free thinkers as there aren't many in the military-- so I looked to the internet.
A little about myself; As was mentioned, I am a proud U.S. sailor and submariner! I was born in Italy but was raised in New York. As far as my religious views goes-- I am an "agnostic atheist." I don't believe in god(s) but I do accept the fact that I can't know that for sure. My political views? Let me just say I love political discussion! I am progressive minded on social issues. As far as fiscal matters are concerned I am very moderate but usually lean left. My views are always up for debate and I do try to keep an open mind at all times-- I tend to respond better to mathematical fact rather than ideological assertions.
Hobbies? I like to keep fit, play video games, listen to music (all kinds), and I love to learn.
