Welcome.

My experience with the US, though limited, tends to be the same as many others here: avoid the South. While there are plenty of decent people from those states, you're more likely to run into a crazy fundie who will react badly to "atheist".

Um, I have a diverse group I work with and I am in the sticks, French, Puerto Rico, Jamaican, black Sothern Baptists, and all of them DONT want me to wear anything with the word on it and I don't talk about it much because when I do they say "why do you have to be in my face with it", ignoring that they wear crosses and play gospel music in the kitchen.
