The Blu-ray of Star Wars: A New Hope. I paid $30 for the first trilogy, primarily for Hope and Empire Strikes Back. Watching it in high definition, I'm glad I spent the money. It's a worthy movie experience.

I watched the Scream trilogy. I wish I saw it before seeing Scary Movie.

Just got back from Anchorman 2. I loved it! I consider it better than the first.
I didn't see a single trailer or review of it either before watching it which I think improved my experience.

I just saw We're the Millers. I gotta say I avoided that movie because I truly expected it to be one of those movies that was mildly entertaining for the first half, and then becomes an unfunny, mushy feel good movie at the end. It definitely had a few of those "feel good" moments towards the end, but it was well tempered with uncouth hilarity which is right up my alley.
Also Jennifer Aniston still has a ridiculously slammin body! God damn!
My parents were the ones that selected Anchorman 2. The love bellylaughs. I really don't. But, oddly, I came out of the movie somewhat liking it, whilst my parents emerged rather offended. Mostly based on the dinnertable scene, where Ron B. kept making racist or otherwise problematic statements. I wasn't offended at the least because the black actors did portray offense. If they didn't, I agree with my parents, it would be a bit hard to sit through.
My only huge beef, besides the pointless violence at the end, was that something in the narration misled me to believe the movie was ending about an hour before it actually did, so I got pretty antsy.

I avoid reviews and trailers like the plague. I find they have the potential to ruin a good experience, and contribute to watching dogs that are liked by a lot of people with bad taste. I just go by what appeals to me, and what my movie radar is telling me. The last few days I've had my digital fireplace on almost constantly; it's probably my favorite Blu-ray. Watched Riddick last night and in my opinion it's ok, but it's trying too hard to be an updated remake of Pitch Black.
